FCA "Project Runway"....

The girls have "dubbed" our sewing class as the "Project Runway" of FCA!  These girls are such a blast to teach!  I have enjoyed this  so much....and I think they have too! :)

  The first couple of weeks, we worked on learning to cut fabric with the rotary cutter, sewing straight lines, and then they girls took on their first project.... A Monogrammed Pillow!  Here's the results!

The girls were soooo proud of their accomplishment!

As you can see...the girls did an EXCELLENT job...considering they all just started sewing.   This week we started  on a stripped quilt project.  I can't wait to see how they turn out!!

The first month is over...and we're doing GREAT!

Wow...I'm amazed that we've completed our first month, and our students have accomplished so much!  We are soooo PROUD of them!!

  We have what we call our "500" Club...the only way to get into this club is to have 5.."100's" on your tests.  Well, so far we have 3  that have accomplished this:

and... Gideon McKnight

All of my students in the Lower Learning Center have learned their 1st months scripture:  Deut. 6:4-9

They are currently working on Proverbs 3:5-6

Well... that about wraps up our Pajama Day...they kids had a blast....the only thing they wanted to do different was....NO SCHOOL WORK! lol!
